Rumors has flooded the region of new species of pokemon being spotted throughout the land. Species that the brute scarred man has never heard before, never seen. And he knew these rumors were true, he recently caught one of the new ones. Upon some research, his crimson colored orbs spotted several he wouldn’t mind adding to him team. With that his new gaol, Maverick headed out to search. Something he hasn’t done in a long time.

“Keep your eyes peeled, nose sharp. Anything unfamiliar, track it.” The massive six foot hell hound let out a snort, snout lifted into the chilled air. Nostrils flared, taking in the scents that drifted in the breeze. “I’m gunna lite this thing.” A flicker of a flame flashed, burning the wick and soon bellowing out a smooth that apparently attracted dark types. The man lifted the incense high above his head, observing as the light breeze carried it.

After several minutes of letting the incense do its work, Maverick let out a sigh. “Alright. Let’s head in that direction.” Azula let out a grumble of her own, following after her master. Maverick really hoped these things would work, he had a bunch of them and really had no use for them until now. Gaze lifted, spotting the snowflakes that had began to fall. Great.

Despite the snow that fell from the sky, the burnt scarred man and his beloved hell hound kept pressing forward through the route. The dark incense bellowed out the sweet scent, drifting in the cool winter breeze as the pair strolled through the warn out path. Warm crimson colored orbs fell upon his canine when a low dark growl rattled in her chest. His own gaze fell upon the direction her gaze shifted too, spotting the familiar figure of the water ninja pokemon. Very tempting to say the least.

It waited them, just as much as they watched it. The dark haired man hummed to himself, really debating if he wanted to pass on such a great pokemon. But not too shortly after he took the moment contemplated it, Maverick shrugged his shoulders and moved on. He wanted someone new, something fresh. And unfortunately, that one wasn’t it. “Leave it,” the man numbed to the canine, turning to walk away from the wild pokemon, “Let’s keep looking.”

It didn’t take long for the pair to run into yet another wild pokemon. After all, it’s not like the route was wide open or anything. A growl rattled deep within Azula’s chest, ebony lips lifted to reveal her pearly whites. The feline emitted a hiss in return, baring its own fangs at the canine. Maverick observed them, silently debating if he wanted it or not. He already had two, so what would be the point of getting another one. He could gift it for Christmas. He laughed. Like anyone would want a gift from him. Merry Christmas. Here’s a random pokemon from some random guy.[break][break]

Sighing heavily, Maverick nodded towards the cat. Azula understand his motion, baring her teeth even more and pressuring the cat. It hissed louder, turning to flee when the canine sent balls of toxic sludge its way. Her nostrils flared, scenting the air as it fled. “It’s getting late. Let’s check that way then head home if ew don’t find anything.” Azula snorted, following after her master.

Several more hours had pass. The incense had dried out. And just as the scent stuff sizzled out, a wild valluby came storming his way. It flailed its tiny wings, calling to them as it scrapped its feet against the ground. Maverick eyed the avian, offering a small smile in return. It was brave… but not brave enough. “Azula.”[break][break]

On that cue, the massive six foot seven hell hound stepped forward. Lips lifted, baring her pearly whites at the bird. A dark growl rattled in her chest, inching closer and closer to the bird. The lullaby’s eyes widened, not feeling so tough now. Azula snapped her jaws, making a crackle sound. The wild pokemon turned in fled, not looking back. Maverick chuckled, motioning for Azula to follow. This was a waste of a day.
